​     Adriana Fernandez is an operatic soprano from Sarasota, Florida. She Currently sings as a contracted Chorister for Palm Beach Opera and has been invited to join for a second season. Adriana has Performed and covered the roles of:  "Johanna" in "Sweeney Todd", "Susanna" in "Le nozze di Figaro" , "Ida" in "Die Fledermaus", "Gianetta" in "l'elixer d'amor" and is a soloist and section leader for Trinity Episcopal Church.

     Her first exposure to opera was with the Sarasota Youth Opera in 2014, where she stared in "Little Nemo in Slumberland" by the modern American composer "Daron Hagen", working with Jesse Martins, Martha Collins, and Victor DeRenzi. She was given the opportunity to have two roles in this production, one being the lead princess and the other an ice princess. She also performed with the Sarasota Youth Opera in their production of Benjamin Britten's "The Little Sweep" as Juliet Brook. Adriana was also awarded the Dean Allyn award in 2016 by the Sarasota Youth Opera.

     Adriana graduated with her Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance from Florida State in 2019, where she studied with Shirley Close and Marcy Stonikas. Adriana performed as "Giannetta" in the opera outreach program for "L'elisir d'amore", as well as in the opera chorus for "La Traviata", "Alcina" and "L'incoronatione di Poppea".

      She moved to Kansas City to study with Vinson Cole before auditioning for her graduate program, and was cast in the Kansas City Lyric's production of "The shining" by Paul Moravec as a contracted chorus member.


      Adriana graduated with her Master's degree in Music - Vocal Performance from Florida Atlantic University in 2022 under the teaching of Mitchell HutchingsShe received a full assistantship with a graduate teaching position where she was able to assist in teaching Vocal Pedagogy, Chamber Chorus, Language Diction classes, and private voice lessons. She Currently performs professionally, and teaches voice students of all ages privately and with the De George Academy for Performing Arts for Student Arts Enrichment. click here for lesson information
